Wineskin is a tool used to make ports of Windows software to Mac OS X. The ports are in the form of normal Mac application bundle wrappers. It works like a wrapper around the Windows software, and you can share just the wrappers if you choose. In this article we cover using Wineskin Winery to run what would normally be a PC-only program successfully under Yosemite on a Mac! Note: I know this is an old thread, and am just posting to help anyone else who stumbles upon this thread.
First of all: Wine (just plain wine) is NOT available for Mac, so that leave you with Wineskin, WineBottler, PlayOnMac, or CrossOver.
Wineskin and WineBottler are intended for creating wrappers, which is basically converting it to a Mac application.

PlayOnMac lets you download and run supported apps easily, but isn't good for just any exe.

PKHeX is a save editor for core-series Pokémon games. With it, users can manipulate various save files including: .sav, .dsv, .dat, .gci, .raw, and .bin types. PKHeX can also read and write: .pk files, which are individual Pokémon files, and .pgt, .pcd, .pgf, .wc, which are Mystery Gift files.
Wineskin For Mac Catalina
PKHeX for Mac is a Mac OS App that was made using Wineskin. Thus, it is not a port of PKHeX. Using Wineskin, we can recreate an environment where executable files will run on Mac OS. All features from the original program should work in this app.
